Alabama Adjusts Tuesday’s First Pitch Ahead of Weather
The Alabama Crimson Tide opened the 2022 season with a 3-game sweep of the Xavier Musketeers this past weekend. The Crimson Tide is scheduled for two mid-week games on Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of a weekend series in Austin against the top-ranked Texas Longhorns.
Alabama and Jacksonville State have agreed to move Tuesday's first pitch up from 3 p.m. to 12 p.m. to avoid possible inclement weather.
Gates at Sewell-Thomas Stadium will open at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. The matchup against the Gamecocks will be the first "$2 Tuesday" of the Bama baseball season. Fans can purchase $2 tickets to the ballgame as well as $2 Zeigler Meats hotdogs.
The state of Alabama is expecting inclement weather on Tuesday with a slight to marginal risk for thunderstorms. The weather is expected to turn dark and stormy beginning around 5 p.m.
As of now there are no changes to Wednesday's first pitch of 3 p.m. against Alabama State.
