58 City of Tuscaloosa Employees Are Quarantined Because of COVID-19
The novel Coronavirus pandemic continues to impact West Alabama, and now 58 City of Tuscaloosa employees are out because of the virus.
According to ABC 33/40 News, Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox says the employees have either tested positive for COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, resulting in a 14-day quarantine.
26 members of the Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Department are quarantining, while 16 members of the Tuscaloosa Police Department are doing the same. 13 members of IPS are out, while one member each of the City of Tuscaloosa's Human Resources Department, Urban Development, and City Council are in quarantine.
