51st Kentuck Festival of the Arts Kicks Off Saturday Morning
This year's Kentuck Festival of the Arts will kick off its 51st year on Saturday morning and continue through Sunday at Kentuck Park in Northport.
The two-day festival will feature over 270 artists and will have spoken word and live music features, as well as activities for visitors of all ages.
Festival organizers said in a press release that Kentuck has been recognized by the Alabama Department of Tourism as one of the top-ten events to attend in Alabama, named "Best of Bama 2022" by Alabama Magazine and has been named a "Local Legacy" by the United States Library of Congress.
Amy Echols, executive director of the Kentuck Art Center said the experience is "like no other."
"There's something for everyone to experience and enjoy, whether you're four or 84," Echols said.
The festival will run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets for the festival are $10 for a single day or $15 for the weekend with free admission for children 12 & under. Tickets can only be purchased on-site and parking is free.
