3 People Shot at South Tuscaloosa Gas Station Sunday
Three people have been shot at a gas station in southern Tuscaloosa Sunday afternoon.
Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told local media around 4:30 Sunday that the investigative team has joined the Tuscaloosa Police Department at the Texaco service station at 5400 McFarland Boulevard on reports of a shooting.
Sellers said three people had been shot. In an update, Sellers said two victims suffered minor injuries and the third was more seriously hurt but is in stable condition.
He also later added that a suspect has been taken into police custody.
The incident follows a deadly shooting in Holt earlier - the sixth homicide the VCU has investigated in 2024 so far.
