2 Women, 1 Baby Killed Saturday on I-59 in Tuscaloosa County
Two adults and a 1-year-old child were killed Saturday morning in a head-on collision on Interstate 59 in western Tuscaloosa County, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers.
Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Troopers, said Tiara Monae Walker, a 25-year-old woman from Tuscaloosa, was driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla on the interstate around 7 a.m. Saturday.
Walker collided head-on with a 2020 Kia Forte driven by Annie Keyero Cooks, a 26-year-old from Quitman, Mississippi.
King said both women and Cooks' 1-year-old passenger were all pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which took place near Mile Marker 56 on I-59 around four miles north of Knoxville, Alabama.
No further details were available Sunday afternoon, as ALEA State Troopers continue to investigate the deadly accident.
