15-Year-Old Student Brings Gun to Tuscaloosa’s Bryant High

A student at Tuscaloosa's Paul W. Bryant High School was arrested Tuesday for bringing a firearm onto campus.

Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said the school resource officer at the PWBHS was alerted around 2:30 p.m. that a student had been found with a firearm.

The 15-year-old student was taken into custody and charged with possessing a firearm illegally.

No one was hurt and the student was taken into custody without issue.

The police department has recovered the firearm, Taylor said.
