Both a teenager and an adult man who were hurt in a shooting in West Tuscaloosa Saturday are expected to survive, area police have said.

Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, alerted local media to the shooting just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Sellers said police were called to the scene of a double shooting in the 3100 block of 21st Street.

A 14-year-old male and a 45-year-old male were both shot, Sellers said. They both suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The VCU responded to the initial call around 6:30 p.m., Sellers said, and the investigation is continuing.
