A young woman was killed and a toddler was injured Saturday evening in a single-vehicle crash in Pickens County just outside Aliceville, Alabama.
Senior Trooper Vu Quang, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers, said 24-year-old Ariana C. Lang was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu just outside Aliceville when the car crashed.

Quang said Lang left Franconia Road and struck a ditch and also a brick culvert. Troopers said Lang was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
A 2-year-old who was a passenger in the Malibu was hurt but survived the crash, and Quang said the baby was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. Saturday about a mile north of Aliceville city limits in Pickens County, and Troopers had no other information to release Sunday night.
