Highway 43 Closed Saturday Morning After 18-Wheeler Wreck

All lanes of Highway 43 in Northport were closed Saturday after an 18-wheeler left the roadway and crashed.

"Cap" Ray Allen, Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa's traffic reporter, said the wreck took place early Saturday morning bear Bull Slough road but traffic continued to flow for a few hours until wreckers made it to the scene.

As of 10 a.m. Saturday, the highway was closed in both directions to get the commercial vehicle back on the road and out of the area.

No serious injuries have been reported in the crash.
