Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told the Thread that the Tuscaloosa Police Department and VCU responded to Brookhaven apartments on James I. Harrison Parkway Monday morning.

In a late Monday morning update, Captain Jack Kennedy of the VCU said a 41-year-old man was stabbed and had non-life-threatening injuries.
Kennedy said a woman who had been detained by responding patrol officers is allegedly responsible.
After a VCU investigation of the evidence available, 40-year-old Notasha Little was charged with second-degree assault and placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
