West AlabamaWorks! and the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama have partnered together to host their third-annual Talent Conference on November 17th.

West Alabama Works said in a press release that the event is "an engaging training and networking opportunity for business leaders."

This year's conference will feature five panelists:

  • Rolf Wrona, Vice President of HR at Mercedes Benz US International
  • Ashley Gill, owner of Chick-fil-a Northport
  • Brandy Snipes, HR Manager at Schnellecke Logistics
  • Russell Dubose, VP of HR for Phifer Incorporated
  • Keith Philips, Vice-Chancellor of Workforce and Economic Development

The panelists will talk about what successful actions they have taken in their businesses during the current "workforce crisis" to bring in potential employees and keep them as well.

"This event will showcase what organizations can do to ensure they are attracting, retaining, and motivating the employees they need to not only survive – but to thrive during recovery," said Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama Chief Operating Officer and West Alabama Works Executive Director Donny Jones.

This event caters to work development leaders, managers, supervisors and human resource professionals that need assistance perfecting their leadership skills or advice on keeping employees.

West AlabamaWorks! partners with the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama to spearhead efforts in workforce development throughout West Alabama.

The event will start at 7:30 am on November 17th and take place at the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy (TCTA) Event Hall. Tickets are $30 for members and $35 for non-members and can be purchased on the Chamber's website.
