
West Alabama Woman Killed in Wreck with Semitruck Near Greensboro Thursday
A Thursday wreck involving a tractor-trailer outside Greensboro, Alabama killed a woman who lived there, Alabama State Troopers say.
Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Troopers in west Alabama, said Irene Watkins, 59, was a passenger in a 2014 Cadillac XTS that collided with a semi-truck about three miles north of Greensboro city limits.'

King said Watkins, a Greensboro woman, was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the Cadillac was injured and transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment here.
The wreck happened around 11:15 a.m. Thursday on Alabama Highway 69 in Hale County near mile marker 113, King said.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
