Victim in Critical Condition After Shooting in West Tuscaloosa Monday Night

A male victim is in critical condition after he was shot in a residential area of west Tuscaloosa Monday night.

Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, alerted local media to the situation just before 11 p.m. Monday.

Sellers said the Tuscaloosa Police Department and VCU responded to the 2200 block of Reece Boulevard - Greenwood Park - on reports of a shooting.

They found one male victim shot, and Sellers said he is in critical condition.

No other information was immediately available Monday night.
