A person was beaten and robbed not far from Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa early Sunday morning hours after the conclusion of the Alabama Crimson Tide's home football game against the LSU Tigers.

The University of Alabama's UA News staff sent an alert to all students just after 3:30 Sunday morning alerting them to the crime and asking for anyone who knows more about the robbery to contact area police.

According to the email, officers with the University of Alabama Police Department were called to the scene of a robbery around 1:15 a.m. Sunday in the area of Stadium Drive and West 4th Street, a block away from the Walk of Champions and Bryant-Denny.

UA said two unidentified men beat and robbed a victim, who was not believed to be affiliated with the University.

The victim was not seriously injured, according to the alert, and the suspects who committed the robbery allegedly fled in an unknown vehicle.

The first suspect was described as a black male who was around six feet tall and slender with dreadlocks wearing white overalls and a black T-shirt.

The second suspect, also a black male, was described as slightly shorted, around 5-feet 10-inches, wearing a white shirt and white jeans.
