The University of Alabama has opened Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa as an emergency storm shelter even as a tornado warning is in effect for much of Tuscaloosa County, the city and the University campus.

The tornado watch is in effect until 3 p.m., and all residents within the storm's projected path should take shelter immediately.

Anyone sheltering at Coleman should park in the east parking lot and enter through the east concourse doors.
