“The University Office of Alumni Affairs and the UA National Alumni Association will greatly benefit from Jimmy’s leadership and areas of expertise, including business strategy and client relationships,” said Bob Pierce, UA’s vice president for advancement in a statement that came with the announcement.

Warren, a graduate from the University of Alabama in 1976, brings over a decade of experience with him and has the support of the University in his new role.

“His commitment to fostering strong connections between alumni and the University has been evident in his service to the National Alumni Association and elsewhere across campus. I’m excited to have him joining us and look forward to all he will accomplish in this position,” Pierce said.

This is not Warren's first time working with the University's Alumni office. He's volunteered with alumni chapters and served as the President of the National Alumni Association’s executive committee for the 2014-2015 academic year.

A current member of the 1831 Foundation Board of Directors, Warren serves on the board of visitors for the College of Communication and Information Sciences. Additionally, he is a member of Dr.Stuart Bell's Presidential Cabinet and was selected as The University of Alabama National Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumnus in 2022.

In a statement, Warren said, "I am honored to be selected to serve the University and the National Alumni Association. This opportunity will allow me to share the excellence of the Alabama experience with people across the country. I look forward to working collaboratively with the alumni community and contributing to the continued success and growth of the association.”
