University of Alabama Forces Burke West Residents into New Housing Assignments

Residents of Burke West have approximately 24 hours to move into new housing assignments, as the University of Alabama announced consolidation plans Monday, August 24th.

The news came to residents via an email which stated new housing assignments would be announced Tuesday, August 25th with all moves to be completed by Wednesday, August 26th.

"We have not always been able to assign roommates together," the email stated. "We have tried to keep roommates in the same building in their new assignments."

Burke West residents will continue to pay their current housing rate regardless of their new assignments and will be given $250 in Bama Cash.
