Alabama Linebacker Charged with DUI After 3-Vehicle Wreck in Tuscaloosa
A linebacker for the Alabama Crimson Tide was arrested late Saturday night and charged with driving under the influence after a three-car accident in Tuscaloosa, police sources have confirmed.
Stephanie Taylor, the public information officer for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said officers were called to the intersection of Hargrove Road and Prince Avenue at 11:18 p.m. Saturday after a passing driver reported a wreck involving three vehicles and possible injuries.
Taylor said fortunately no one was injured when the officers arrived on the scene of the accident, but two of the vehicles were heavily damaged in the collision.
As a result of the investigation, 20-year-old Quandarrius Zemon Robinson was charged with DUI and placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
His bond, which was set at $1,000, had been paid Sunday morning, but Robinson will be kept at the jail for 12 hours or until he can pass a sobriety test, Taylor said.
Robinson's mugshot was not publicly available Sunday morning.
