
Broken Line Causes Gas Leak on University of Alabama’s Fraternity Row
Crews are working to repair a ruptured gas line on the campus of the University of Alabama, and officials are asking people to avoid the area while the work is done.
UA Safety, the school's X account for various announcements about public safety matters on campus, shared reports of a gas leak a few minutes before noon on Wednesday.
In an update, they said a line had been hit and broken on Fraternity Lane.

UA is asking motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area until the repair can be completed. Campus Drive East has been closed from Jefferson Avenue to Bryce Lawn Drive.
UPDATE: UA has given the all-clear and said the leak has been contained.
