The Juice Bar Tuscaloosa will permanently close later this month after serving smoothies for seven years in the Shoppes of Legacy Park.

The store off 15th Street was one of two dozen locations for the Nashville-based brand sometimes styled as I Love Juice Bar, and the only one in the state of Alabama.

A sign on the door Friday morning said the store, which sells smoothies, juices, superfood bowls and more, would permanently close on April 16th or whenever their remaining supplies sold out.

On that note, everything inside the store is for sale, including their kitchen equipment, furniture, cleaning supplies and fresh ingredients in bulk, including lemons, ginger and cacao.

The local franchise owner declined to comment on the closure.

The Shoppes at Legacy Park was developed almost a decade ago, where Tuscaloosa's old Cedar Crest subdivision had been destroyed in the April 27th, 2011 tornado.

The shopping center's major retail anchors, including the Fresh Market, Dick's Sporting Goods and PetSmart have remained unchanged since they opened in 2015 and 2016, but the Juice Bar joins Chuy's and Nothing But Noodles in restaurant concepts that have closed there.
