Reginal King, a spokesperson for the ALEA, said the crash occurred at approximately 12:50 p.m. when Serrita Monte Turner, 37, of Tuscaloosa was driving her 2019 Nissan Versa along Joe Mallisham Parkway, just west of the city.

Turner was struck by a 2012 GMC Acadia, which was driven by a Tuscaloosa teenager. Turner was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the GMC were both transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division continue their investigation. This story will be updated as more information is made available.
