A Tuscaloosa woman has died after she sustained serious injuries from a three-vehicle wreck on University Boulevard late last month., according to investigators with Tuscaloosa Police Department's Accident Reconstruction Unit.

The initial incident occurred the morning of September 29 when Tina Marie McCaa, 48, was driving her 2007 Toyota Scion xB along University Boulevard in the eastbound lanes.

McCaa stopped at a red-light waiting to turn left on 24th Avenue East when she was rear-ended by the driver of a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro. She was thrown from her car and suffered serious injuries.

The impact from the collision pushed McCaa's vehicle across the westbound lanes into oncoming traffic. The third vehicle in the wreck, a 2007 Toyota Yaris, struck McCaa's passenger side door.
