The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office helped locate two missing elderly individuals to reunite them with family just in time for Thanksgiving dinner.

On Thursday, November 25, The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office was alerted that two missing elderly individuals that might be in the area. The couple had left the Carolinas and were en route to a city north of Atlanta, and were noticeably late.

Crime fighting tools that were recently implemented by the Sheriff's Office sent a notification to deputies and communications personnel to alert them of the couple's last known location.

Law Enforcement Officers were aided by volunteers to locate the two missing people, and were able to reunite them with their family for Thanksgiving Day.

Sheriff Abernathy and the rest of the TCSO would like to thank the Samantha Volunteer Fire Department and the Fayette Police Department for their assistance.

These individuals have asked for privacy during this time.
