The Tuscaloosa Police Department is asking for help locating a man wanted for allegedly kidnapping and raping a 19-year-old woman last week.

In a Monday morning press release, a TPD spokesperson said the suspect, Terrance Westbrook, is 23 years old and could be in Tuscaloosa or in Choctaw, Marengo or Clarke County.

 

According to the release, the victim told investigators that she and Westbrook were arguing last Tuesday while she rode as a passenger in his car. The victim said their fight escalated and Westbrook at one point forced her into his trunk and continued driving around, allegedly even picking up two other passengers and giving them rides around West Alabama.

The 19-year-old said Westbrook physically and sexually assaulted her over the course of several hours.

Now warrants have been issued to charge Westbrook with rape and kidnapping, and investigators need help locating him.

Police say Westbrook is 23, stands 5 foot, 9 inches tall and weights 150 pounds. He drives  Mercury Grand Marquis and is known to frequent Tuscaloosa, Choctaw, Marengo and Clarke Counties.
