Tuscaloosa Police Officer Shoots Suspect on Skyland Boulevard

A man is being treated at DCH Regional Medical Center after he was shot by a Tuscaloosa Police Officer Thursday night.

A large police presence was in the 100 block of Skyland Boulevard East near Los Tarascos, where Public Information Officer Stephanie Taylor said the suspect was shot Thursday,

The officer was not injured.

Tuscaloosa Police Chief Brent Blankley said the shooting took place around 8:40 Thursday evening.
