Tuscaloosa Police ID Duncanville Woman Killed in 3-Vehicle Crash Saturday
Police in Tuscaloosa have identified the Duncanville woman who was killed Saturday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash on University Boulevard and said the tragic accident involved a friend who had just come to her aid.
Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the police department, said officers were called to the accident, which happened in the 6900 block of University Boulevard East, around 4:10 p.m. Saturday.

Taylor said all three vehicles involved in the accident were traveling east. Police believe a Honda Accord with three occupants was stopped at the intersection of University Boulevard and Hurricane Road when they were read-ended by a truck driven by Sheree Ann Kelly, a 69-year-old woman from Duncanville.
Taylor said the driver behind Kelly was a friend who had just come to help her jump-start her vehicle's battery. They were unable to stop their vehicle and crashed into the rear of Kelly's truck.
Caught between the other two vehicles, Kelly was critically injured in the collision. Taylor said paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but Kelly died at the scene of the accident.
The driver and one of the passengers in the Honda were taken to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries that Taylor said were not life-threatening.
TPD’s Traffic Homicide Unit investigates all fatal accidents in the city, and Taylor said they responded to the scene Saturday and will also conduct the follow-up investigation to see if any criminal charges are warranted in the wake of Kelly's death.
