Tuscaloosa Murder Victim Was Killed by Daughter’s Boyfriend, Police Say
A man who was fatally shot in Tuscaloosa Sunday afternoon was killed by his daughter's allegedly abusive boyfriend, police said Monday.
As the Thread previously reported, the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit responded to their fifth homicide investigation of the year around 4 p.m. Sunday.

Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the VCU, said the shooting happened at the victim's own home on the 3200 block of 18th Street in west Tuscaloosa.
There, officers found 62-year-old Joseph Earl Miller dead on the scene of the crime.
Kennedy said police believe he was killed by 41-year-old Andrew Wayne Hollie, who had reportedly been in a relationship with Miller's daughter. Kennedy said Miller "had been engaged in threatening and abusive behavior with both of them during the last week."
After the shooting, Hollie left the scene and briefly eluded police, but after the VCU processed the scene, spoke to witnesses and searched several locations, they obtained a warrant for Hollie's arrest.
Early Monday morning, the US Marshals Task Force located Hollie and arrested him. The 41-year-old hold has been booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with no bond.
