Tuscaloosa Man Killed in Single-Car Accident off Jug Factory Road
A 56-year-old Tuscaloosa man died early Saturday morning after a single-vehicle accident between Jug Factory Road and Cypress Creek Avenue, a police spokeswoman has confirmed.
Stephanie Taylor, the Tuscaloosa Police Department's public information officer, said Anthony Bradford, 56, was driving his Nissan Titan at the intersection of 56th Street East and 24th Avenue East off Jug Factory Road around 6 a.m. Saturday.
Police believe Bradford lost control of the truck and it jumped a curb at the intersection, struck a road sign and rolled down a nearby embankment before striking a tree.
Bradford was found dead at the scene when emergency responders arrived.
Taylor said the department's Accident Reconstruction Unit is still investigating the crash, but said preliminary investigation indicates Bradford may have suffered a medical emergency that caused him to lose control of the truck.
