Tuscaloosa Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Box Cutter Attack
A Tuscaloosa man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly attacked a man with a box cutter at a gas station Friday night.
According to court records filed Thursday, Terrence Lorenzo Miles, 53, got into an argument with the victim at the Chevron gas station on Highway 69 South.
The disagreement dissipated, but a few minutes later, Miles reportedly returned with a box cutter and cut the victim multiple times on his left arm, left side, and on his back.
A bystander briefly separated the two before Miles allegedly jumped on top of the victim and cut into his neck two times.
The victim was rushed to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he was given multiple pints of blood and received staples for the lacerations.
Investigators found and arrested Miles Wednesday and charged with with attempted murder. He was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail where he remained on Thursday pending a $60,000 bond.
