Police in Tuscaloosa have arrested a man accused of trying to solicit sex from a child, they announced Tuesday.

Captain Phil Simpson, the commander of the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force, told local media that they ran an undercover operation Tuesday and found cause to arrest a 66-year-old Tuscaloosa man.

The suspect, James Gorman Houston, was charged with two crimes - electronic solicitation of a minor and traveling to meet a minor for a sex act.

He was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where his bond has not yet been set.

No other details were available Tuesday.
