Tuscaloosa to Host Annual Fourth of July Celebration at Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater
The city of Tuscaloosa has shared details for the upcoming Celebration on the River, its annual Fourth of July fireworks show and orchestral performance.
In a Monday press release, a city spokesperson said the festivities will be Friday, July 4th, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the downtown Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater.

As ever, the event is free to attend and planned for families, with plenty of activities for children leading up to the main show.
In their press release, Tuscaloosa officials shared the following schedule:
6 – 7:45 p.m. Kids Zone in West and East Plazas featuring face painting and inflatable games
6 – 7:30 p.m. DJ Tank Performance
7:30 – 7:50 p.m. Drum Nation Performance
7:55 – 8:55 p.m. Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra Performance
9 p.m. Fireworks begin after brief remarks from Mayor Walt Maddox
The city said folks who attend the show are encouraged to park in their free Intermodal Facility parking deck a few blocks away and either shuttle or walk to the Amphitheater, as on-site parking will be limited, except for accessible parking at the venue's box office parking lot.
The press release also reminds attendees to follow the Amp's clear bag policy, which will be in place for the Celebration.
