Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue Combats Series of Brush Fires Along Railroad Sunday
Firefighters in Tuscaloosa have contained two brush fires and are fighting another near the Holt and Alberta areas, they said on social media Sunday afternoon.
Pictures of several fires burning alongside railroad tracks in Tuscaloosa were circulating on Facebook, and TFR said they had contained one fire behind the Highlands and another behind Coleman Coliseum on Sunday afternoon.
They said at 5:20 p.m., they are still combating one fire at Kicker Road and 25th Avenue Northeast, south of Jack Warner Parkway near the Cottages at Lake Tamaha.
The three separate fires appear to have burned near railroad tracks in the Tuscaloosa area.
A representative for TFR did not immediately repsond to requests for comments about the Sunday fires.
