Meet The Finalists For Tuscaloosa County School Superintendent
Interviews are scheduled next week for five finalist candidates for the Tuscaloosa County Schools Superintendent job. Four of the finalists are from within the system and one from Mississippi.
The five are seeking to replace Dr. Keri Johnson who stepped down to accept the superintendent's position with the City of Pelham School System in Shelby County.

The finalists list released by the county system includes:
- Dr. Lundy Brantley: Has served as superintendent in Mississippi's Union Public School District and Neshoba County School District, achieving high academic rankings in both systems. He is currently an education consultant.
- Dr. Daniel Bray: Is currently Director Post Secondary Curriculum and Instruction in the Tuscaloosa County School System. He was previously principal at Brookwood Middle School and was assistant principal of Hale County High School.
- Dr. Daniel Dickens: He is currently Principal at Holt High School. He taught ten years at Collins Riverside Middle School in Northport and one at Southern Academy in Greensboro. He also served as Assistant Principal at Tuscaloosa County High School.
- Dr. Jeremy Madden: The current Principal at Northside High School was previously Principal at his alma mater, Russellville High School. Before that, he served for a decade as the principal of Fayette County High School. He also taught at Belgreen High School, Haleyville Elementary School, and was Assistant Principal at Fayette County Elementary.
- Allison Mays: Is currently Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources in the Tuscaloosa County School System. She has served as a high school principal, assistant principal, and teacher within the Tuscaloosa County School System. Prior to entering education, she practiced law for three years.
Interviews are tentatively set for next Tuesday and Wednesday and will be open to the public. Times for the interviews at the school systems' central office in downtown Tuscaloosa are yet to be announced.
