One of Tuscaloosa's most beloved downtown restaurants was forced to close its doors Saturday.

Depalma's Italian Cafe, located at the corner of University Boulevard and 23rd Avenue, announced the temporary closure on social media and on the restaurant website, citing a recent labor shortage as the cause.

"Please if you know someone happy with high standards, who likes to work with the public in a fast paced environment go to [our website] to join our team," the statement read.

Depalma's plans to reopen August 4th.
