President Trump has attacked University of Alabama graduate Kaitlan Collins - again. Trump doesn't like female reporters and especially the ones like Collins who asks tough questions and works for CNN.

With West Alabama Republican Congressman Robert Aderholt looking on, Collins provoked Trump into his latest attack on her during an Oval Office press opportunity Wednesday when she asked about the Jeffrey Epstein files. Instead of answering the question he turned his comments into a personal attack on the Alpha Phi sorority member while at UA.

Trump told her he had 'never seen her smile' and called her 'the worst reporter.' Trump continued, “You know why you’re not smiling? Because you know you’re not telling the truth.”

When the 33-year-old Collins again attempted to ask Trump about the Epstein files, the president again went into attack mode, “You are so bad,” he said. “You know, you are the worst reporter. No wonder. CNN has no ratings because of people like you.”

In December Trump took to his Truth Social account to levy another blast at Collins writing, “Caitlin (misspelled) Collin’s of Fake News CNN, always Stupid and Nasty.”

The Prattville native graduated from UA in 2014, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in political science and journalism, and began her journalism career shortly after. Collins moved to Washington, D.C., for an internship with the website The Daily Caller and then was hired as an entertainment reporter, later becoming their political and White House correspondent.

CNN hired Collins as part of its White House news coverage team and immediately came into conflict with Trump in 2018. She attended a photo op in the Oval Office as the day's pool reporter. As the event concluded, Collins asked Trump a series of questions about Vladimir Putin and about Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen. Trump ignored her questions. Collins was subsequently barred from a Trump administration press conference in the White House Rose Garden that afternoon and was told by senior White House officials that such questions were "inappropriate for that venue", according to a CNN report.

The White House Correspondents Association called the ban "wholly inappropriate, wrong-headed, and weak."

CNN has defended Collins, calling her, "an exceptional journalist."

Kaitlan Collins fired back at Trump in an interview with The Daily Beast. “He views things through the lens of how it affects him,” Collins said. “It’s a reality distortion field of his own making, and it’s just not true.”

From the first Trump administration until today in his second tour in the White House, Collins has been a repeated target of various Trump press aides and staff members as well as the president himself.

Collins hosts CNN's The Source with Kaitlan Collins weekday nights at 8:00pm CST.
