Triple-Digit Heat Continues to Continue in West Alabama
It’s another day of intense heat across portions of Alabama.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has reported that "an Excessive Heat Warning and a Heat Advisory are in effect for all of Central Alabama on Friday."
The excessive heat warning is expected to continue to 9 p.m. Friday night. At that point, the NWS in Birmingham reports that it will drop down to a heat advisory, continuing on through 9 p.m. on Saturday night.
James Spann reported via Facebook that "tonight will be a very warm, humid night across Alabama" with the possibility of "an isolated storm."
The National Weather Service advised those who are working outside in the heat to take precautions: drink water, stay out of the sun when possible.
