Bridge on Tuscaloosa Riverwalk Closed for Repair After Storm Fells Tree
A portion of the Tuscaloosa Riverwalk has been closed Thursday after strong storms last night felled a tree that landed on a bridge.
The city said on social media that the Riverwalk will be temporarily closed between the City Credit Union and Synovus Plaza off Jack Warner Parkway a short distance from the main riverwalk's western terminus.

A picture of the damage shows the tree took out several sections of railing along the bridge.
The city did not estimate how long the fix would take, but said they will post an update to social media once the repaid is complete and the bridge is reopened.
