The talented team at Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa took home three prestigious awards this weekend during the annual Alabama Broadcasters' Association ABBY Awards Ceremony.

Media personalities from radio and TV stations across the state were at the Club in Birmingham for the 19th Annual ABBY Awards this Saturday.

Many awards are given based on the market size, with different winners from small, medium and large radio markets and often from television markets as well.

Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa, which operates seven local radio stations and the Tuscaloosa Thread, saw two new shows claim hardware for the medium market category.

The Big Dawg DreDay in the Morning with LP won the best morning show in a medium market for that new teamup on 105.1 the Block.

"It’s an honor to be recognized and receive this award within a year of launching this show," Dre told the Thread. "The real stars are the Tuscaloosa community members and our listeners for making this show part of their morning routine. LP and I are grateful for the opportunity to spend time with our listeners every morning."

And Wyatt Fulton, the brand manager for Tide 100.9, won for Best Sports Talk Show in a Medium Market for his T-Town Sports Daily, which airs every weekday.

"I am honored to win my first Abby Award in my first year on the air on Tide 100.9!" Fulton said. "I'm extremely grateful and hope to continue building a reputation as an award-winning multimedia sports journalist in Tuscaloosa!"

Some awards are given without consideration of market size, and 105.1 the Block also won the Best Service Project across all Alabama radio stations for their Fresh Forever back-to-school haircut promotion.
