The Loop 2024: Restaurant and Retail News from the Tuscaloosa Thread
It's summer again in Tuscaloosa, and restaurateurs and retailers once again face a season of both challenge and opportunity before the city's more than 40,000 college students return in August.
On the one hand, this slow season is a great time to build out and open a new concept, training new staff in the low tide and becoming well-oiled before the students and football season return in the fall.
On the other, the lean season often proves too much for struggling entrepreneurs to get through financially and supporting small businesses during these summer months is more important than ever.
With that in mind, we're happy to introduce the Loop! Best-in-class coverage of restaurant and retail development has always been a cornerstone of the Tuscaloosa Thread's commitment to being a news leader for West Alabama. That coverage - two dozen unique stories so far this year with many more on the horizon - will be bundled for your convenience as the Loop.
It's a nod to our name at the Thread, but also, with our coverage, in the Loop is exactly where you'll be when it comes to business news in the Tuscaloosa area.
Check out our coverage of the category so far in 2024 below, support these new businesses and the old ones alike this summer, and as always stay connected to the Tuscaloosa Thread for more news as it can be released.
