The Alabama Crimson Tide are the 2021 SEC Softball Tournament Champions! Alabama beat the Gators 4-0 on its home turf to win the title.

Any semifinal game comes with a lot of pressure, and the team that can perform under it is the team that will prevail.

Bailey Hemphill, SEC Player of the Year and Montana Fouts, SEC Co-Pitcher of the Year, put on performances that helped their team move on to the semifinals.

The Alabama Crimson Tide softball team just completed its regular season with a 42-7 record and finished third in the SEC. The SEC announced its year-end awards on Tuesday and Alabama cleaned house. Senior Bailey Hemphill was named SEC Player of the Year and junior Montana Fouts was the Co-Pitcher of the Year.

The Crimson Tide enter this week's tournament as the No. 3 seed behind the regular season champions Florida Gators and the runners-up Arkansas Razorbacks. Alabama will take on the winner of Kentucky and Georgia in the quarterfinals on Thursday in the last time slot of the day.

The Alabama Crimson Tide battled in Nashville and defeated the LSU Tigers in the SEC Tournament Championship 80-79 to win the first tournament title for the Tide since 1991. Alabama defeated three teams in three days to ensure its championship, the Tide was able to win both the regular season and the tournament championship in a historic season.

The top seeded Alabama Crimson Tide (22-6, 16-2) will play the fourth seeded Tennessee Volunteers (17-7, 10-7) tomorrow at noon CT in the SEC Tournament semi-finals. The Crimson Tide earned its place in the semis by way of defeating Mississippi State 85-48, Tennessee claimed its semifinal place by beating Florida 78-66.

The top seeded Alabama Crimson Tide has struggled this season starting quickly in early tip-offs this season. That was not the case today as the Tide boat-raced the Mississippi State Bulldogs 85-48 in the opening game of today's SEC quarterfinals.

The No 1 seeded Alabama Crimson Tide will face off against the No. 9 seeded Mississippi State Bulldogs tomorrow at 11 a.m CT. It will be the Tide's opening matchup in the SEC Tournament after receiving a double-BYE as the tournament's top seed. Mississippi State draws Alabama after defeating No. 8 seed Kentucky 74-73.
