The Alabama Crimson Tide entered the 30th SEC Championship Game as an underdog for the first time in six years. Its safe to say the Tide responded well to the underdog role as Alabama rolled to a 41-24 over the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs.
Alabama junior wide receiver John Metchie III exits the SEC Championship Game after suffering a leg injury in the first half. Metchie was having himself quite a game prior to the injury, he hauled in six receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown on eight targets.

The No. 8 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide took down two top-five ranked teams to win the SEC Championship in Huntsville, Alabama. Top ranked Florida and the fourth ranked LSU Tigers both came up short, finishing third and second respectively and head coach Dana Duckworth to claim the program's 10th SEC Championship.
The Alabama Crimson Tide battled in Nashville and defeated the LSU Tigers in the SEC Tournament Championship 80-79 to win the first tournament title for the Tide since 1991. Alabama defeated three teams in three days to ensure its championship, the Tide was able to win both the regular season and the tournament championship in a historic season.
LaBryan Ray, who didn't see the field against Arkansas last week in the Tide's 52-3 win, will be questionable for the upcoming bout with Florida in the SEC title game.
