Alabama's star wide receiver Jameson Williams left the game after sustaining a leg injury. Williams had just made a 40-yard reception to set the Tide up in the Georgia end when he left the game.
In his first career start, Brooks caught four passes for 66 yards, including a 44-yard score late in the second quarter to give the Crimson Tide a 17-3 lead heading into halftime against Cincinnati.
The Alabama Crimson Tide entered the 30th SEC Championship Game as an underdog for the first time in six years. Its safe to say the Tide responded well to the underdog role as Alabama rolled to a 41-24 over the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs.
LSU brought the fight, but the Tide held strong through four quarters, sending Coach O back to Louisiana as a loser in his final effort in the rivalry.
