Saban put those rumors to bed on Wednesday as he visited the Alabama Crimson Tide basketball team at the end of practice before the team leaves for the Sweet 16 in Louisville.
Don Hartley: "But instead of reveling in the aura of the winningest season in Alabama Men’s Basketball history, [Miller] is hounded by one night’s lack of good judgement."
Alabama will take on the winner of No. 2 seed Texas A&M and No. 6. Vanderbilt on Sunday at 12 p.m. CT for the SEC Championship. The Crimson Tide defeated the Commodores in both regular season matchups this season but fell to the Aggies in the regular season finale.
When asked if anyone had advised him to withdraw from school and prepare for the NBA Draft when his name came up in court, Miller did not outright deny that happening.
The Crimson Tide finishes its historic regular season 26-5 and with a conference record of 16-2. Alabama will enter the SEC Tournament next week with the No. 1 overall seed and will play its first game on Friday at Noon CT.
