The University of Alabama's football Twitter account announced the news late Thursday afternoon, finally clearing up weeks of speculation as to who would lead the Crimson Tide's offensive line.

Speaking to Sports Radio 610 in Houston Wednesday afternoon, Saban alluded to a potential confirmation that Bill O' Brien would become the next offensive coordinator for the Crimson Tide.

The University of Alabama is expecting to hire Bill O'Brien as its new offensive coordinator, according to Bruce Feldmen of The Athletic. O'Brien is expected to replace the departing Steve Sarkisian who is leaving Alabama to assume the head coaching job at the University of Texas.
