Suspect in Tattoo Parlor Shooting Jailed After 3 Months at Large
A 27-year-old Duncanville man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly shot another man in the back at a Tuscaloosa tattoo parlor in November.
On the morning of November 6th, Tuscaloosa Police Officers were called to Nevaeh Tattoos on Palisades Drive off Skyland Boulevard on reports of a shooting.
The victim, a 25-year-old man, has been shot in the back and was suffering from life-threatening injuries.
The suspect escaped the scene had evaded arrest for months, but according to court documents filed Thursday, investigators quickly identified 27-year-old Marquez Jemone Hughes, also known as "Fat Fool," as the shooter and obtained warrants for his arrest.
US Marshals caught up with Hughes Wednesday in Houston, Texas, and finally arrested him. He was charged with attempted murder and his probation granted on previous charges was revoked.
He was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail where he remained Thursday afternoon without bond.
