Reports of some injuries, property damage and temporary entrapments are coming in after out-of-season severe storms passed through West Alabama Wednesday afternoon.

Most of the problems are related to fallen trees, which were uprooted by strong winds and heavy rain Wednesday.

In Eutaw, a tree fell on a home and some people inside were temporarily trapped.

The Thread has also received reports from the Greene and Hale County Emergency Management Agencies that trees fell in several locations.

One person was reportedly hurt when their car struck a downed tree near Sawyerville in Hale County.

Alabama Power was also reporting more than 4,000 outages across West Alabama around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday.
