Stillman’s Home Double Header Basketball Game Canceled
Due to inclement weather, the Stillman College basketball team's Tuesday contest against The University of Mobile has been canceled. The games will not be rescheduled.
Heavy rain Monday accompanied by scattered snowfall overnight and below-freezing temperatures all day Tuesday created conditions that school officials deemed too unsafe to carry on with the games.
Stillman College women's basketball and men's basketball are scheduled to host Loyola University New Orleans in doubleheader matchups this Friday and Saturday to close their regular seasons.
Friday's games will tip off at 5:30 p.m. for the Lady Tigers and 7:30 p.m. for the men's team followed by games at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. respectively on Saturday.
The weekend games will be an opportunity for revenge for Stillman's dominant men's team, who boasted a 13-1 overall record as of Tuesday afternoon. Their only loss on the season came to Loyola in January, when the Tigers fell to the Wolf Pack in New Orleans.
