Tuscaloosa's Stillman College has finalized a partnership with the Saban Center, where they will join the University of Alabama and Shelton State Community College and offer programming at the still-being-designed $80 million learning hub.

Stillman President Yolanda Page and Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox announced and celebrated the partnership Wednesday morning, expressing excitement about the ways Stillman can help encourage learning and discovery therethrough innovative programs and initiatives.

“We are delighted to join the Saban Center to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people in our community," Page said. "Collaborations like this strengthen our community ties and allow us to build on our shared commitment to education, ultimately benefiting everyone who lives, works, and studies in Tuscaloosa and its surrounding areas.”

One key to the partnership is Miss Terry Saban, the head of Nick's Kids Foundation nonprofit behind the Center and a member of the board of trustees at the HBCU.

“I am thrilled to see Stillman College partner with the Saban Center to create new opportunities in STEM and the arts for our community," Saban said. "This collaboration not only enriches our educational landscape but also empowers our youth to explore their passions and potential. Together, we can inspire the next generation of innovators and creators in West Alabama.”
