Apartment and Vehicle Struck But No Injuries in Tuesday Shooting in Tuscaloosa
A large number of police officers converged on a Tuscaloosa apartment complex after shots were reportedly fired there Tuesday. Thankfully, they found no one had been injured.
A spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department said officers and the Violent Crimes Unit responded to Forrester Gardens apartments off James I. Harrison Parkway Tuesday morning after callers reported gunshots in the area.
Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the VCU, told the Thread investigators discovered that shots had been fired, but no one was hit.
TPD said bullets struck one unoccupied vehicle and one unoccupied apartment.
That area of Tuscaloosa has been a hotbed for TPD recently - Forrester Gardens sits right next to Brookhaven Apartments, which was the site of three shootings in a weeklong period earlier this month, including a double shooting that killed a man.
