Man Shot, Suspect in Custody at Tuscaloosa’s Hay Court Apartments
One man was shot and a suspect is in custody at Tuscaloosa's Hay Court Apartments Saturday afternoon.
Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said Tuscaloosa Police Officers were called to Hay Court around noon.
Sellers said some women at the apartments were arguing Saturday afternoon when some men got involved. Sellers said the men pulled weapons and multiple shots were fired.
A 29-year-old male was struck twice, but Sellers said he is expected to survive his injuries.
The VCU is on scene at the apartments, but Sellers said an arrest is expected and a 29-year-old male is in custody.
All parties involved live in Hay Court, Sellers said.
